Ideel Aarnsdorf, known as IA, is the Oracle of Menda City. She has dedicated her life to tracking the ebb and flow of information in Menda City. Each of her days is spent collecting and observing events, and finding out how they fit together.

Members of various anarchist groups like the Rasta Lions or more legitimate groups like the Hat Squad go to IA for advice and information.

However, because she is so deep into the information flow, sometimes she can't clearly express her answers. She can only visualize the answers in her own head, which doesn't always make the transition to spoken language. So, like many other oracles, she often speaks in riddles.

Ideel was given the nickname IA by Jacob Nelson, because she is the flipside of AI. Instead of a computer becoming more human, she is a human becoming more and more like a computer.
